What is a perspective? What if, instead of a finite view of the world, it was a chance to learn more about others? What if, instead of a division between two warring political parties, it was the fuel we need to truly come together and right wrongs? In an age where opinions are as common as Kanye meltdowns, we invite you to pause and take part in the first annual World Perspective Day on March 30th, 2017. World Perspective Matters 100 Cameras is an organization that envisions a world where kids are empowered to share their stories and create impact. They equip children around the world with cameras and in turn instill value through the power that platform gives them in telling their story. The further down this journey they have gone, the more they have learned from the children they work with. These children understand far greater than we do, that their present circumstances don’t define them and they accept that their perspective is unique and different and that is necessary and outstanding. And so, 100 Cameras is out to unite the world by celebrating each of our perspectives. Share Your Perspective Here is Angela Francine Popplewell’s story, Founder of 100 Cameras. Your story is important. Your story connects you to someone who desperately needs hope, freedom, and value. Grab your camera (or phone) and start snapping life through your lens. We challenge you to truly allow your story to be real, not curated for social media. Pause and think about what those images mean to you, and how they are a reflection of your life and your story. On March 30th post your photo, post your story, post more if you feel a series is even better, and use the hashtag #worldperspectiveday then after you’ve joined in the conversation, be sure to read through the hashtag feed and truly experience everyone’s perspective around the globe.
