As fashion technology expands, more companies are looking for ways to draw in their consumers and how they can make their shopping experience easier than ever. We've talked about virtual fitting rooms, and how they're changing the online shopping game, but what about tailoring a garment specific to you during its original production phase? Well, Unspun is working to make jeans fit like a glove, the first time around. Here's how:
Unspun is a digital apparel brand, focused on reducing textile waste for the last four years. They specialize in jeans and trousers, knowing that those are staple pieces in everyone's wardrobe, and the fit people struggle with the most. "While consumer-facing technologies that optimize fit have become increasingly prevalent on the market, Unspun claims to be unique in that it also creates a tangible product that shoppers can purchase." (Sourcing Journal)
Notably, H&M worked with Unspun in 2018 on one of their denim lines. The gave shoppers four style options that they could have customized. Unspun is still working with H&M today with their denim technology and are planning to launch with three more brands by the end of this year.
What is fit technology?
