By Jessica Kelly, Founder & CEO, THR3EFOLD
One of my favorite mantras is the African proverb, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." I love the beautiful truth in this statement. When you first start learning about ethical fashion and sustainable fashion it's very easy to be overwhelmed. To get our industry to a place that is collectively championing for people and planet while turning a profit can feel impossible, but the beauty is it will take a village, an industry to be exact, and that's what slowly is happening. THR3EFOLD is no different, and I am so grateful for my team who helps strategize, consult, and push this goal forward. Meet my team.
N'Djamena Walker - Deadstock District Director
Originally starting on the THR3EFOLD Team as a Brand Manager, N'Djamena's experience in operations and training in sustainability quickly made it clear that solving the burgeoning world of deadstock fabric was the place for her. N'Djamena brings a decade of experience in wholesale operations to the table, as well as a Sustainable Design Entrepreneur certification from FIT.

"Seeing the need for change directly from within the industry, I set out on a personal path to learn as much about the ethical fashion movement and to get involved as much as I could. Part of that journey led me to THR3EFOLD's blog, as a reader. Wanting to be a part, I reached out to Jessica, and the rest is history!" -N'Djamena Walker

Lindy Leiser - Connections Director
Lindy recently joined the team and has quickly become an integral part as our in-house brand expert. She holds a degree in fashion design from FIT and production from FIDM. Her education pairs perfectly with her 12 years of experience in fashion production and design with top brands like Tory Burch, Bonobos, and J.Crew as well as her own namesake brand of luxury knitwear. This gives her a robust understanding of the needs of established brands of all sizes, as well as the unique challenges startup designers face in sourcing, production, and growth. As a natural connector herself she plays an integral role in matching brands to ethical factories around the world.

"I love advising people on how our industry can do better by implementing sustainability into their business models and practices, especially startups. My heart for celebrating talent in the supply chain and seeing waste reduced along the way began as a child being raised on a cotton farm. I have a heart for waste management and saving material from landfill, thus I try to design with circularity in mind and encourage others to do so as well." -Lindy Leiser

As we all work together to build a platform that creates a more ethical and sustainable industry I'm so excited to see how the experience and gifts of these two incredible women will shape our future. If you too are passionate about building a more ethical and sustainable fashion industry, please take a look at our current volunteer positions available. We would love to have you join the team.
