One of the most common questions we get from brands is, "Where do I find factories?" it can be hard to go from idea to product when you have to find a fabric suppliers, notions, labels, and a cut and sew factory, not to mention freight carrier, logistics warehouse and everything else it takes to build a brand. COVID hit early in fashion because of our manufacturing ties to Asia. So by March pretty much all manufacturing and sourcing had halted as we all figured out how to stay safe and stay in business. Now that manufacturing is moving again, where do you begin to find a factory? Here are some resources. 1 | Google
Good old fashioned Google is where most people get their start. It's a good start to assess the options you are dealing with, however it can be challenging to search the correct phrase to find the right factory you are looking for. "Cut and sew factory in India" could get you a whole slew of options, none of which guarantee standards. In fact, many factories don't have great websites (i.e. no SEO) which means they can't be found on Google. You might be in for hours upon hours of research resulting in feeling crosseyed and overwhelmed. 2 | THR3EFOLD's Ethical Manufacturing Platform Our database offers only ethically certified factories so you can rest assured people are being treated and paid what they should be.
