3 Sustainable Benefits When Working With Ethical Factories

3 Sustainable Benefits When Working With Ethical Factories
Building your sustainable brand with no resources is though, but ethical factories are ready to help and support your brand's journey. Ethical factories are transparent because they want you to know what they're doing in the industry to create a better planet for all of us. When looking for a factory to work with, always ask what they're doing to make an impact and how that benefits your brand during production.
1 | Fabric sourcing
If you're looking to manufacture with sustainable materials, but don't know where to look, most ethical factories are able to source them for you. They can help you find organic fabrics that are similar to the traditional fabrics you wanted. Factories often times already have relationships with local suppliers near them, saving you money on any additional import taxes and shipping costs and reducing your carbon footprint by condensing your supply chain.

If you're interested in learning about deadstock fabric and if it's an option for your brand, we offer a FREE deadstock district-a private Facebook group and a community of people looking to buy and sell deadstock fabric in one place. Sign up here membership is free.

2 | Reduce energy and water use
It's important to keep in mind that your brands impact can be bigger than what you use for your product. Working with factories who implement solar and reduce their water waste is a great option. We have factories on our platform that can dye jeans with one glass of water. When a factory uses solar operated energy this reduces the amount of fossil fuels being  transmitted into the environment and the cost from about 2-11 cents per-kilowatt an hour. 3 | Chemical pollution
When garments are dyed with harmful chemical they pollute the water in the factories country. It's also extremely dangerous for workers to be working with; causing chemical burns and lifelong medical injuries. Having a factory that only works with natural dyes not only cuts down on pollution and injuries but you can ensure that your customers are also being taken care of and don't have to worry about what chemicals are being used on their products.
