Spreading the word now is key to securing press for the holiday shopping season.
2 | Pitch to the Right Person
Don't pitch to everyone. Do your homework before you reach out and make sure the journalist you are pitching actually covers content relevant to your product AND that their customer base would be your customer base as well. A great way to do this is research the articles you would like to be placed in. Who's writing them, where are they published, how well did those articles get a response? This way when you approach the journalist you can help further their reach and strengthen their content with your offering.

Why you? What makes your brand special? Do you have a story worth telling? A product that will make their lives easier in a unique way? Make sure you know what makes you stand out from the crowd and tells a compelling story. Journalists are always looking for content but they also need to keep it fresh while serving their audience in the areas that matter to them.
