Founder - The Essentials Story, Creative Director & Board of Directors - The Pelicans Group Salma is Founder of The Essentials Story, a sustainable & ethical b2c brand that thoughtfully designs accessories for everyday, while giving back to those in need and putting a spotlight on stories around the world. Salma is also Creative Director and on the Board of Directors at Pelicans Group, a global design, manufacturing and distribution company with operations in Europe and Asia, that makes bespoke items in leather and man made fabrics for the luxury market, customers include Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Aston Martin, Tom Ford & Buckingham Palace etc. Salma began her career in Finance, working in JPMorgan's London and Paris Offices. She spent time in Development both working with NGO's in rural/urban parts of India and in the United Nations in the Poverty Reduction Network. She was born in London and brought up between London and Mumbai. After almost a decade in NYC, is now based in Miami with her husband and 2 young children. Salma runs her family foundation which aims to give deserving under privileged children from low income families in India, an opportunity to change their lives. She is on the board of The Underline, the country's largest public art project & an active member of CARE International's Women’s Initiative, one of the world's largest NGO's focused on children's education and women's empowerment. |

Sustainability Officer - The ID Factory Martina Schiuma holds a strong passion for cultural diversity and environmental sustainability that drove her to work in Corporate Responsibility. She has worked as an eCommerce Specialist for a second-hand platform, and supported the implementation of Yoox Net-A-Porter's infinity strategy for empowering circular fashion. The ID Factory is a B- corp certified supply chain traceability platform that creates a unique digital passport so fashion companies can gain end-to-end visibility over their global supply chain. Their mission is to empower brands in making timely, informed data-driven decisions that are the most effective for their business and have a positive impact on the planet. Martina is in charge of sustainability at The ID Factory to ensure these measures are addressed. The ID Factory, a B-Corp among the top 12 fashion tech companies at Startup bootcamp, supporting brands like Hugo Boss, Geox, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, S.Oliver, Tamaris to boost traceability and transparency in their global supply chains. |

Founder & Creative Director, Island Tribe Angeline Hayling is a Designer championing Sustainability & Artisan Craftsmanship. Her extensive global travels and experience in Responsible Fashion seek to inspire and empower women to live consciously. Her Island Tribe label features feminine bohemian designs that have been featured in Vogue, InStyle, WWD amongst others. Island Tribe is a Conscious Womenswear Lifestyle Brand, founded with the Aim of Working with Artisans from around the Globe with a strong commitment to sustainability. Their Eco-friendly collections are made with sustainable or natural fibers, Made-to-order, and produced in small batches to reduce waste. They embrace Fairtrade partnership with global artisans in Bali, Mali, and India, amongst others. Taking it a step further, their latest collection was sustainably made in the U.S.A. in California, giving back to their local communities and stimulating local economic growth during the pandemic. |
